"Good Food, Good Deeds," a groundbreaking half-hour series co-hosted by TV icon Florence Henderson and nutritionist Joy Bauer, debuts tonight at 8 p.m. EST on Retirement Living Television (RLTV).Each episode of “Good Food, Good Deeds” features a celebrity guest who experiences the fast-paced, inspiring, and fulfilling work of a Meals On Wheels volunteer. The show also features segments in which co-hosts Henderson and Bauer have fun preparing a delicious and nutritious meal. Joy plans each menu, offering guidance on which foods to buy, which to avoid, and serving up meals that are tasty and easy to prepare.
RLTV provides information and entertainment geared to viewers age 50 and above. Although it is currently unavailable here in Northeast Ohio, segments of "Good Food, Good Deeds" are available for viewing on the program's section of the RLTV web site.The program is presented by RLTV and the Meals On Wheels Association of America (MOWAA). Enid Borden, MOWAA president, appeared on a segment with actress Linda Gray (right) that is posted online. Enid also commented on the program and its purpose in her regular column on the Huffington Post website.
